The keto score tells you how ketogenic your food or meal is on a scale from 0 to 10.
It factors in how ketogenic the foods are as well as how much of them are eaten. A high score indicates a ketogenic way of eating. A Bad keto score is between 0 and 3, an OK score between 4 and 6, and a Good one is between 7 and 10.
It’s a useful score to help people eat keto. However, a keto score number doesn’t imply you will achieve a particular level of blood ketones. Think of the score as a compass pointing north towards keto land, so to speak. It’s a score best used alongside the nutrient density score, thus ensuring a food is both keto and nourishing.
